I first became aware of MILITEC-1 about a year ago, when my good friend and knife collector Will Mattingly of Louisville, KY sent me a small sample of the stuff to try around the shop.

Over the years, I’ve seen my share of the new “whiz-bang” miracle oils come and go and if it had come from anywhere else, it would probably still be un-opened and gathering dust on a shelf somewhere. Will is an old snake eater from way back and knows his stuff, so I began using it around the shop.

MILITEC-1 is a synthetic metal conditioner that actually permeates and becomes a part of the metal itself. Weapons can be wiped clean and it does not attract pocket lint or sand and dust buildup. You can actually feel the difference with the first application and I’ve found it to significantly increase reliability in anything from small pocket guns to large battle rifles.

I now buy it in bulk and use it exclusively in the shop and on my own personal firearms and knives. I highly recommend it and consider it the ultimate metal conditioner and weapons lubricant.
